What To Spend £200 On

I have been given a gift of £200. Things have been a bit rough for me lately and the proviso attached to the gift is that I spend it on myself on a treat.
I was thinking of having my eyebrows dyed but have decided against it.
Please don't suggest anything to do with a spa or the beauticians as I can't do with a stranger fiddling about with me.
The person who has given me the gift wants me to spend it on doing something rather than on clothes, jewellery etc. She suggested piano lessons as she knows I always wanted to learn to play. The problem with that is I don't have a piano and don't have anywhere to put one.
Any suggestions?

Big car boot on in Rufforth every Sunday too, Graham, popular haunt of mine when I'm 'home' on hols from Wales
Take up photography or go on a oil painting course.
go see a show in nodnol
buy sweets and sit in a room surrounded by sweets (my number one choice)
day/night out deep sea fishing
buy a share in a racehorse, should get you a hoof
go hawking for the day

its a lovely gift, what lovely friends you have Mrs O, I don't know what you would like best but I know whatever you do, it will be money well spent, have fun.
How about a magazine subscription for something that you enjoy, ( then you get the pleasure of it for a year ),
and sit back and have a think what to do with the rest of it. X
Book a recording studio and make a CD of you playing a noisy instrument (or singing) then you can put it on when you go out. Only when your neighbours are annoying.
Combined ticket from Whitby Bus Station to Brighton Railway Station £66.70

Ticket home from Brighton Railway Station to Whitby Bus Station £123.80

(don't know why the journey back is more expensive)

Lunch in Brighton £9.50

Total £200.00

I agree with a keyboard and headphones. If you always wanted to learn, now is a good excuse xx

The journey back to Whitby is more expensive because it's uphill.
...and more people want to come away than go towards it. Supply and demand :-)
I thought that.^ The busses going south would be chock-a-block while those going north would be nearly empty.
Hi Mrs O, why not treat yourself to a nice swing seat with comfy cushions for the garden if you don't already have one? We bought one last year and I can relax so much swinging gently backward and forward looking at my pretty garden and listening to the birds - a lovely treat! It often sends me to sleep especially if I lie on it like a swinging sofa! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz xx
How about a trip down the world's longest zipline, in North Wales.

It's a mile long.

Commission media studies students from your local community college to produce a documentary video in support of your complaint against your hospital findings. Send copies to YouTube, television, local rag, national press. You could preserve anonymity or show the world your super model likeness. The world would be your lobster.

Talking of which ...

2nd choice:
hire a boat and take your family out for a day's mackerel fishathon :)
I always wanted to learn to play a harp. But I don't want to sit on a cloud with a long white dress and angel's wings!
