Doorstep insulated milk bottle holder.

I have been trying, but to no avail, to find an insulated milk bottle holder. My milkman can't help and Lakeland ( usually the source of items like this ) drew a blank. I've tried ebay and the internet in general with no luck. Any ideas ?

If it is for one bottle, could you not use a Heath Robinson affair made from bubble wrap and cardboard? Just a thought!

You can buy smaller-than-usual cool boxes and use with a cool-block, if needed. I have one and it will take milk cartons and bottles. Don't know where it came from, though!

The old box held up to four pints was plastic imitation terracotta, polystyrene lined incl. lid, circular with lid finial incorporating a pointer to indicate range of no milk to four pints. The lid mysteriously disappeared one morning.

good option is a wet terracotta flowerpot upside down in a large plant saucer so the air space underneath is cooled by evaporation its one of the ways things were kept cool before fridges were common

Phew, that's a bit involved for an insulated bag, but it's fairly inexpensive.

Many thanks to you all for some good ideas, the old box operated on a two fold system. It kept the milk cool in summer and stopped the milk freezing in the winter. So I'm debating whether to take my coffee black which remedies the problem;-). Again, many thanks.

I use a thick small oak box sunk in the ground .. the milkman drops the bottles into it. There is a lid. Stays pretty cool.

I Have just ordered one ( a 2 bottle holder) from a company called Kirby and West, cost £5. 50 you have to sign up and create an account. This is an exact replacement for the Express Dairy one I have had for the last 15 years but is now crumbling and looks disgusting. Hope it suits your requirement
