Of course you are daisy. It just annoys the crap out of me that your needless opinion brought down an otherwise positive thread. If your not proud of our British athletes maybe you should find somewhere else to live. Preferably somewhere without an Internet connection, like the moon maybe.

Come on back off Daisy, folk - there are plenty out there who do not like boxing, me included. However, I will give Adams credit for what she achieved today and yes she was inspirational in the way she executed her discipline and when any sport hit those levels, it is worth watching - and there was no evident of brown envelopes being passed to the judges......

On that postulation, the precision and artistry demo-ed in the Dressage was also exquisite and worth a second view in a few minutes.
where's it on DT?
And just what was it that was demonstrated?
I am entitled to expressan opinion and I was not rude, as Zac was.
4-0 to Jones

Spoken fair and true DT
time out

Jade Jones...gold
It will probably feature after the Beeb 1 News
Zac, who said I was not proud of what has been achieved? I find your attitude offensive. If I object to boxing how can I judge it if would feel sickened to watch it? So I did not. You want to watch, your choice. Anyone who does not agree with you should live elsewhere? Are you and your ideas that important?
It wasn't just me that you disagreed with tho was it? You could tell the mood of the thread was positive, so why bother putting a negative and disrespectful comment?
Look guys (American generic term, I know), agree to disagree and leave it there; it really isn't worth popping veins on either side and risk Mod intervention.......(I should know, I have been there).
Not a lover of boxing myself but these women are brilliant .And well done to Nicola .
My Dad was a boxing fan and I've never forgotten him waking me up at silly o'clock to tell me the result about some fight between Ali and some other chap that was broadcast over the radio in the early hours of the morning way back when !
Boxing is an art ....and it also helps aggression .It's a way to help youngsters channel their aggression into something more positive and as long as it's regulated and they have protective headshields etc ( not like in the old days of cauliflower ears ) then that's a good thing .
Well done Nicola, such a personable being she is too. I feel very proud of her. And Jade too, tremendous acheivement this evening. Incredible.

(I don't care for either of their sports but I'm always behind the GB team whatever they're discipline.)
Disrespectful? You do not know the meaning of the word. I have explained my stance. Why is no one allowed to disagree? The mood of the thread? Just accept the fact that you were rude. All I did was to say that I dislike boxing for either sex. That makes me an unpatriotic pariah?
I don't like boxing either - I think it's quite barbaric - and Zacs and Bibblebub there's no need to be rude to Daisy - but having said that, since boxing is an Olympic sport, good for Nicola Adams. Well done her!! I think Britain is doing brilliantly!!

And that is MY opinion.
By stating that you loath someones sport who's just won a gold medal for their country would suggest to me that you have little or no respect for people who participate in it....
If I'm wrong in my conclusion then I apologise unreservedly but it seems pretty logical to me, to come to that conclusion. Hence my annoyance and opinion.
