People who live there like it, but it's quite isolated - good bus route from Lydd to Hastings one way and Dover the other way. No railway apart from the Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Light Railway. Bird sanctuaries. Forces rifle range up the coast at Hythe. Dungeness decommissioned power station dominates the southern view, and may become a new nuclear processing plant if a current proposal goes ahead. Rye and Winchelsea not far away. Very flat - much below sea level with sea defences. Sheep.
Only Dungeness 'A' is decommissioned, boxtops. The twin reactor Dungeness 'B' is still whirring away and is expected to do so until 2018 at least (probably longer in an effort to address the nation's "energy gap").

Having said that the buildings do dominate the skyline, even though the turbine hall of unit 'A' has been demolished.
Thanks NJ - yes, but I'm interested in some of the plans for the site. I agree, I see the huge buildings silhouetted across the bay when I go to work each day - you can tell the state of the weather by how clearly you can see them!
