taking it down a peg from my post about divine women, well why not..
what about Ashley then, so much for being a Christian, not much love and caring in that man. Battering his father that way, and laurel finally waking up, dozy mare.. what should she do, or will do more importantly

It is upsetting, em, especially when the acting (Sandy) is played with such emotion ..... I find it hard to watch.

no idea, but i guess they have to give some of the others characters a go, quite frankly this storyline has me reaching for a brick to chuck at Ashley, what a numpty.
What a stupid tedious story this has been with Ashley and Sandy, typical they chose someone of normally high Christian values to play the part so they can mock the faith. Is Ashley going out of it, does anyone know? Can't see how he can stay now he's subjected his poor Dad to physical abuse. Sandy played the part really well I thought.
I don't agree that it's stupid and tedious, I think it's a very good issue for a soap to cover, beats affairs and pregnancies all the time. Not sure it's mocking the faith, but it is a drama after all, and there aren't many other older people in it right now or in a domestic situation like Sandy.
Agree about Laurel though, daft woman.
I loved the mix up tonight with illegitimate and illiterate word. It made me lol.
I'm getting fed up with the toffee factory story - is anyone else?
haha yes jeza, i do love the humour in Emmerdale :)
One line from Ashleys speech made a lot of sense .. NOT

'I think talking things through helps all concerned' (Or something like that)

So he spoke to Laurel about his 'problems' with not having a perfect marriage? Methinks not.

Read somewhere he is arrested this week

I think it's a highly emotive subject which has been handled very well.............
