Combination Microwave Oven

One of the main reasons I'm considering one is that I don't like the grill in my main oven, plus the fact that I tend to cook small amounts as I live alone.........has anyone got one, and if so what are your thoughts?

I would probably only use my main oven for baking............

I thought just the same as you about 5 years ago so I bought aone.After trying out the grill with a piece of toast I never ever used the grill again.Incredibly slow and inefficient.The micro itself was just fine and served me well for the next 4 years.Very expensive for what the grill is supposed to do.

My oven just about had it so I was thinking like you but my friend had lots of trouble with his so I went out and bought a mini-oven, separate powerful microwave, plus a large George Foreman.

This does all my cooking between the three of these, but it does fill up the kitchen a bit!

I have never got on with microwave grills, they seem to be crap, maybe that is just my ineptitude?! I always end up using the cooker grill !

i;ve got one and i use the oven and microwave part all the time i never use the grill

btw did you see my note last night, GU chocolate cherry pots, i ate 4 in one sitting, i would of eaten the other two but i manged to padlock the fridge and eat the key

I asked Mrs MM on your behalf and she said the microwave is fine, but the grill and oven are crap.

That doesn't sound good then as I do grill a lot of my food and it isn't all suitable for a George Foreman.
I may replace the main oven with a double oven, with a grill in the top one.
I only have a single oven at the mo, with a grill, so can't use the grill and oven at the same time.

I have this and can use just the grill; an electric heated element. Its great for satay.
