I have an I-pod nano. Is there any way I can get any more volume out of it? I have the master at maximum and obviously the volume at full but it's still too quiet, I've tried different headphones and earpieces but no joy. I was thinking is there such a thing as a small in line amp? My hearings not quite what it was but I really would appreciate a tad more "oomph"
Thanks in advance.

I myself invested in better headphones. The Sony ones that Apple supplies are bobbins.

I wonder why your hearing's not what it was? Could it be listening to music at too high a volume?
It is limited to its present volume by Europe wide legislation which is based on what is safe without damaging the users' hearing from medical evidence.

I had the same problem with the early version of the iPod nano when it was first released years ago. I was told that it was a defect as it was the earliest product release in the market.
