Shortbread Biscuits= Hyper-Activity?

Is the above possible as my 3 year old Grandson has begun to show signs of being Hyperactive,could this be because He has recently taken a liking to Shortbread.? Many Thanks in advance.

might be a sugar rush...on the other hand, 3 yo's are hyper by nature.

unless there are some e numbers in them, then i doubt it. and sugar making kids hyper is a myth apparently.
it doesn't in the same way as e numbers but if his blood sugar drops, natural if hungry and he eats a starchy sugary food that is going to trigger a release of glucose into the blood stream and result in a sugar "high"

seriously, fruit or salad veg or a low GI carbohydrate snack is a better idea. Real shortbread, yummy though it is is full of sugar and butter and not terribly healthy for an everyday snack
Most 3 years old are quite active, I think it's normal for them to be.
