Thanks woofgang... went to the garden centre today, clueless Sunday staff but I did notice all the peace lilies were in full flower. The tip of the leaves on mine went a bit brown and all the flowers fell off that's why I thought it needed feeding, careful nurturing has restored leaves but not flowers.

Naz Nomad ....sorry I couldn't open your answers.
All the flowering plants that you see have been 'forced'.....if they have flowers on them-even if it's the wrong time of year...people will buy them.
Just let your plant have a rest...it will flower in it's own time. Peace lily's like bright light-but no strong sun-this could cause leaf browning...as could not enough water, They like the soil a bit moist if I am not mistaken. Google care if in doubt.
Don't feed till the spring and then with flowering plant feeder when you start to see the white buds on the top of the stems. Rest it now with a little water when it needs it, dont let it completely dry out.
By far the best way to get your spatiphyllum to flower is to place it in a brighter position. They don't mind the shade or a darker corner at all but won't flower very much...if at all.
