I remember this case when he bult the wall, he gave the impression then that the neighbours where a bunch of nosey busy bodies and this is how he defends his privacy.

Sounds a right good neighbour, doesn't he? Apparently his last stunt was to build a 12ft-high concrete wall round his garden, cover it with corrugated iron, and claim it was a greenhouse.

He's a nutter. There's alot of them about.
I would rather have trees than not - why are his neighbours so bothered about being able to see his house? Looks to me as if it just needs a bit of pruning.
Because they block the light to the other peoples houses and cause subsidence and it reduces the value of your property when it's obvious you're living next door to a nutter.
