Carrot seed query

With carrot seed being so small, does anyone know of a way to plant them thinly, thereby eliminiting the need for thining at a later stage?

I mix the seed with very fine, dry soil. You still have to thin out but it's a lot quicker.

thank you, will try both ways.
you can buy seed tape with them all lined out at the correct spacing for you. The seed is in the tape and you just roll it out and cover with soil.

thank you hawkwalk for your suggestion I tried tapes last year but found germination quite difficult . maybe I was doing something wrong .
