I was going to do a list of how things have changed - like a price comparison between 1930 and today, maybe with 1951 [when they became 21] 1970 [at forty life changes] 1995 [retirement age] thown in. Any ideas one what to put in the list - family car, newspaper, holiday, etc?

And any good UK sites to pick these prices from, plus newsworthy events? Thanks

this doesn't answer your question but might be an interesting sidelight

You might be better using actual documents and photos from the family. In 1951 there weren't many 21st celebrated because of the rationing and the loss of so many fathers just a few years earlier. It would make it more relevent and personal.
Oil coins in circulation at the time? There are usually some George VI coins on eBay if you can't get hold of them anywhere else (back of drawers, etc!).
^ OLD coins
