Could anyone help me with information about how I would travel from Chester to Redhill, Surrey. Info re trains, buses etc would be welcome as I am not from the area and have no idea where to start.

Well by train there are two obvious routes -

Chester-Crewe-Brum-Reading-Redhill
or Chester - Crewe - London - Redhill

By coach you have a choice of National Express or megabus to London, then train - Redhill is not served by coaches
