LEC Freezer - orange light goes on (& stays on) but motor 'kicks in' for just a few seconds then stops. Red light stays off. No corrosion or leakage noticeable. Freezer (according to Mrs) not working. Defrosted last night - doesn't seem very cold in compartments. Any ideas please?
Is it a 'frost free'freezer?Mine packed up afew years ago, wonderful repair man fixed it by 'defrosting'the whole of the back of the insides, the fan was iced up.You have to take the insides out of the freezer(i mean unscrew the back of the inside) and you may see the fan all iced up.Hubby does the job every few monthes now, says my hairdryer is excellent as not having to poke around too much.If no joy,try a local domestic appliance person from your local paper before splashing on new one, they can sometimes work wonders.Good luck.
