I've acquired aSony VAIO laptop with inbuilt Intel{R} PRO/wireless 2200BG network connector. I've tried & tried to connect via my BT Home Hub to the internet,without success. The WLAN switch is on, the WEP codes have been imput, Windows tries to connect ,but never succeeds. I have another Laptop & a PC, they both work wirelessly OK! Help a Silver Surfer PLEASE

This may help. It won't hurt.
Try changing the channel that the BT Hub is using to a lower numbered one and then retry.

i had a sony vaio that would not connect to my sky wireless, turned out it worked on different frequency and needed an adaptor to pick the signal up ( at the time apparentley it was common problem with sony`s ), have you tried using it with the wire connected ? if it works wired that may point to the frequency thing.I am going back a few years so might be totally different now, but worth a try ;-)
