Watch the video, one guy actually paid to go back to France to avoid being sent there. The smugglers are moaning that their customer base is drying up..

You mean Most Flawed Answer surely gulliver. The policy hasn't been a deterrent and wont be until all the legal challenges and hand wringing stops and those who would consider making the journey by dinghy know that the planes are lined up ready to take them the moment they land here.

You mean Most Flawed Answer surely gulliver. The policy hasn't been a deterrent and wont be until all the legal challenges and hand wringing stops and those who would consider making the journey by dinghy know that the planes are lined up ready to take them the moment they land here.

We have been deluged with 9,445 illegal immigrants so far this year.

Now the Rwanda plan is finally law, do you really think that they will stop coming? That it will be a deterrent. My guess is the figure will pass 10,000 in a couple of weeks. And will continue to go up until the election.

The new legislation was given Royal Assent on 25th April. From that date until yesterday, there have been 2,788 migrants picked up from boats.

In the same period last year, the figure was less than half of that number, 1,298 migrants.

Some deterrent, eh?

Corby, be serious.  How can anything that isn't happening be a deterrent?  When and if it starts happening - only then will it be a deterrent.

Ill thought out, ill implemented, and outrageously sabotaged by the 5c as usual.

"And will continue to go up until the election. "

Thatt implies it will stop going up afer he elecion. Is tthat what you are suggesting and if so why will it stop?

I would suggest that the electtion will have no influence on this whoever wins. The Tories have no plans which will put a stop to it and nor has Labour. Their "Border Command" (or whatever drivel Starmer has come up with) will similarly make no difference. The only thing that will prevent them arriving is to physically stop them from doing so. That means turning them back at sea and nobody will do it.

TTT......You are so Gullible ..bet you still believe in Brexit.

It never was supposed to be a solution, merely a deterrent, and it is working as such, even though it isn't yet running.

Also significantly, Brussels is now considering a similar plan for the deportation of illegals to other African countries for processing.

The system worked well for Australia and it will work for the UK if people would stop trying to prevent it happening with specious arguments.

OR, do you want to continue paying 8 million pounds a day for hotels?

NAOMI, "Corby, be serious.  How can anything that isn't happening be a deterrent?"

Yesterday, TORATORATORA stated, "The new law has made it a deterrent, end of."

Corby, It's already working as a deterrent as shown by illegals crossing from N.I. into the Republic saying they fear being sent to Rwanda.

Question Author

The threat is already a deterrent wait until it starts happening.

'Ireland's deputy prime minister Micheal Martin said on Friday the threat of being deported to Rwanda had caused an influx of migrants to cross the border from Northern Ireland into the Republic......'

TTT 10 54 That's the good thing about being an expat. I CAN VOTE in referendums and general elections to help govern the way you live TTT.... and not have to Walk amongst you.

Thanks to the Tories.🤣
