Jerusalem ( who dey?) has just de-platformed al-jazeera - 24 h propaganda available in English and Arabic - and told it to get out of the country. Cabinet level decision - no 2 on the agenda, flattening a bit more of Rafah which clearly isnt flat enough  at present.

an IDF spokeman said - censorhip ? certainly not ! we were tryting to green that area of the city, by cutting the leccy off, where al-Jazeera had its studio. Nothing more than that.

Meanwhile, the IDF are clearing another area of Rafah, prior to liberation. The report that the displaced persons are singing and dancing their way to special protected areas ( no leccy not water and no bogs) - but clearly not ads in er al-jazeeera

God it is all happening in the East I can tell you.

(Beeb 0710 today)

Oh and whilst I am at it before deleetion - the  councillor who shouted allahu akbar at his election - it means 'God is Great' - not Palestine shall be free ( some hope) nor death to alerica - as some seem to think.  It should be ( he is not an arab) "marsh Allah" - ( ma shaa' Allah) - "it is the will of God" but some people ( heavens) allow their mouths to run away with them.

[some of this post is true]

but is it all true?

singing and dancing isnt ( obviously)

forced migration to an arid wasteland is.

oh and they have closed the borders again - "to supply better humanitarian aid" - - work THAT one out !

Newspeak

It's normal for reporting restrictions to be applied in times of war.

I wondered about that too. Controlling the media is what governments with something to hide does. But I'm not aware of what was considered unacceptable in this case. Maybe there was blatant anti-Israeli propaganda ? No government would wish to tolerate "enemy" propaganda.

We all know that "allahu akbar' means 'God is Great', just as we all know it is also what a certain group of terrorists shout as their calling card. It's got a bad rep through such association and that'd take many, many generations before getting disassociated.

BBC, ITN, Sky, the American networks and the rest of the world are not even allowed in to Gaza. The one major news organisation that actually has a base there, Al Jazeera, has now been shut down. Go along, people, nothing to concern yourself with here ...

and right before the rafah attack too.

the israeli governmemt does not want the world to see what will happen there. i fear they have dark intentions indeed for the refugees who have fled there.

Go IDF!

If Hamas remain deeply embedded with the civilian population then there will be undeserved casualties. It doesn't mean that Israel is deliberately targeting refugees or has "dark intentions".

Yes,well if the Hamas terrorists had just stayed in their beds on 7th October last year then nothing like this would have occurred. The Hamas terrorists started all this mayhem.Blame them first and foremost. They have their own peoples blood on their(already much bloodied)hands.

When journalists are not allowed in to a war zone to observe and report on what's happening, "dark intentions" are exactly the concern.

erm different subject: they havent chucked out the Beeb ( bless)

Question Author

it is also what a certain group of terrorists shout as their calling card.

ish. It ( the phrase) even has a name 'takbir' - linguists will know that k-b-r triliteral is present in Akbar ( elative)

and the phrase has much wider use

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Takbir

Move along -nothing to see - the usual bloody massacres off camera will go on taking place

BBC, ITN, Sky, the American networks and the rest of the world are not even allowed in to Gaza.

erm do you think that is because there is nothing to see?

and before you say - "no the IDF has the safety of Journos of all species - ",  there are 130 dead journos celebrated a few days ago

@11.33.Like the bloody massacre that took place on 7th October last year Peter?

Question Author

and every day thereafter

32 000 - dead - half mothers and children, seems a lorra lorra dead people - but that is just me. Others find it acceptable or even praiseworthy

> they havent chucked out the Beeb

They have, in the sense that they are not allowed in ...

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-68423995

Do you feel the 7th October attack was acceptable and praiseworthy Peter?
