Anyone been told to dispose of a cup of coffee before getting on a bus because of "health and safety" reasons. Happened to me today and I was not happy. Of course there is always the danger that I would run amok pouring hot coffee over all the passengers!!

I know how you feel pombear, but you haven't been walking round with hot coffee for the last 62 years. Its only been a fashionable thing to do for the last few years and if your grandparents were to know how much you'd paid for it they never beleive you!

pombear - you're right. But, the bus driver wouldn't know whether you're a tidy or careful person or not. He has to take an objective view and is probably told not to allow anyone on the bus with a hot drink, however tidy or responsible they may look.
