I bought a dress in a colour I didn't like and doesn't suit me with the intent to dye it. The dress is made of hemp/cotton and the colour is two shades of sage. My question is, once dyed, will the pattern still show through or will it all look the same colour? I hope you can understand what I mean. Thank you.

Go for it Ladybirder. It will look great in the fuchsia. Be brave, be bold and just follow the instructions on the dye packet.
ladybirder, do you subscribe to "nextdoor"? It is a very simple way of asking local people if they can recommend someone who can do the job for you.

Choux thank you. Yes I have had two recommendations from NextDoor for gardeners and they were truly awful. And truly expensive. I am sure everyone does not have my experience with ND but I won't use them again.

Thanks Maydup. I will.

But I am puzzled why dry cleaners don't do it any more.
