Out Of Date Food

I bought some cornettos in iceland today , we were going to sit in the park and have them. The wafers were very soft. On checking the box they were three weeks out of date. I have sent a message of complaint with relevant details. Not Good is it ?

I get most of my shopping from Iceland and their customer service is quite good - you will probably get your money back with no problem.

Some of their chilled stuff seems to have short expiry dates - it must be the way they work. As long as something is still safe to eat then I am happy.

How would the till even begin to 'know' what date was on the packaging?

It is magic, computer magic and they read the barcodes that we got when we got our COVID jags.

I am so worried about their tubs of vanilla ice cream going out of date that I eat it on the day that it gets delivered.
