I’ve smashed it this week, all the Unclueds done fairly early, but I have a couple of things I need to check.

First a clue I need to double-check -

Bouncy cat set off, scratching a rook (6) I have Tigger, is that correct?

Also, the instructions state that “the most recent addition to the group (i.e. the unclued theme) must be highlighted in the grid”. Is there a proper way to do that if filling the grid by hand - circling the letters, different colour ink etc

Thanks.

Lasker
Jazzgirl, look up the game they play.
I did Tilly but no names are there. What page if I may ask?
In my Chambers Crossword Dictionary, page 134.
Oh, I see. I don'thave the crossword dictionary :)
No list in Chambers Dictionary, page 270. :-(
I find the Crossword Dictionary to be really helpful.
Correct ;-(
A lot of others were using Bradfords. I don't have that either.
I have the answer but please can someone explain why?
After local’s alarmed, I’m leaving omelette = FRITTATA
Dredd, FRIT is a dialect (local) word for fright (alarmed) and all that's left to say is TATA.
I still don't have the solution to be highlighted, the (chinese) answer I find in the internet isn't one of the names in the grid. Am I looking for something wrong?
Stuck on 3: 35A £1000 saving returns-it’s interest; 27A Marshal then in charge of races; 27D Magistrates eating British food. Would welcome help, thanks
27, Edibles, food. Ediles are the magistrates, add B for British.
27 Ethnic, anagram (marshall) of 'then' and IC, in charge.
35 Grab, interest, hold your attention. G, a grand, £1000 and Rab is Bar, saving/except, reversed (returns).
Thank you, Neveracrossword! Silly me!
