When Danielle Harold collected her award she appeared to hug the presenter and then make a face and wipe her hand.

I think she was just nervous, before that any time the camera focused on her she looked miserable

I agree with elliemay. The girl looked shocked as she was announced the winner. She hugged Susan Lynch, not Jane McDonald. Inevitably, most winners at all the award programmes "pull a face" unless they are terribly smug. I thought she was taking in a deep breath. She flexed her right hand first and transferred the trophy from her left to right hand, then flexed her left hand. She used her hands a lot in her acceptance either expressively or nervously. It would be difficult to wipe a hand on a shiny trophy.

elliemay, I haven't watched the soaps for decades but based on that short video, the research she carried out and the award, I hope she sees her acting as an investment in her time and effort leading to further roles.
