I'm sure this is a ludicrous question for those who know but I need help.
The windscreen washer pump has packed up and I need to buy a replacement.
My car is a 2009 Hyundai Comfort CRDi with a 1.6 diesel engine.
When I tried to order the washer pump I had to choose one of 4 different engines each with a different HP.
I am stumped. I have looked under the bonnet, checked the car handbook and looked at every piece of paper I have.

Where do I find this information?

I already said I know the VIN. I have it stored on my phone.
Easier to look at the registration document (log book) and multiply Max Power by 1.34 - gives BHP.

Thank you, bhg.

I am looking at my V5 now and I see the line 'P.2 Max. net power (KW)' and there is no data.
How strange - my car is 2008 (same era as yours) and quotes 136 KW.
Question Author
I have tried a three VIN decoding sites - one couldn't find a trace of my car and the other want money.
He's a thought barry - ring up your local Hyundai dealer and ask them. They'll be able to do it off either the reg no or the VIN.
Question Author
Yes! I shall do that, I bought the car new so I will contact the Hyundai dealer I bought it from tomorrow.
Question Author
This will be the first thing I need to replace on the car apart from consumables such as tyres, windscreen wipers and the battery, so I shouldn't complain. I just need to get it sorted ASAP, I ran out of screenwash once when I was driving over the Grampians and it was nigh on impossible to see where I was going.
