Going back to the OP, I have only seen the highlights but it was a very good game apparently. Well done to the Lionesses I hope they take it all way and do something the 'Boys' have failed at for so many years, whever it be Germany or France.

Didn't a former president of FIFA, that old fossil Sepp Blatter, once suggest that women should play wearing tiny shorts?
I'm not saying he thought they should take their cue from beach volleyball dress codes, but with that remark he showed he didn't quite get the spirit of the beautiful game.

If by responding to the ridiculous, pathetic and off-topic accusations that were made are known as ‘pie-throwing’ then yes, a Greggs product was slung, but only in defence.
