Hello guys,
I was wondering if anyone knows how to rip or record and save Spotify music streaming. If it is indeed possible to record Spotify songs, what can I use for this job? Any ordinary app will do or do I need to get a special Spotify Music Downloader especially created to rip Spotify music?

Spotify is a streaming online music service so you cannot download Spotify music, you need a Spotify Music Downloader.
A good Spotify Music Ripper is Tunebite, you should try it, it can record Spotify music streaming and convert the songs to any formats you want, so you'll have your music for listening offline or on every music device you want. I use this...

errr, thought you were disappearing His Happiness ! <NOK>
I have never done it with Spotify, but I have recorded music playing in YouTube using Audacity

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
If you can hear it, you can copy it.
Try something like total recorder.
thief!
All you can do to have your Spotify music on your pc is to buy it. You cannot rip or record Spotify music, because Spotify is a streaming online music service and its music cannot be downloadable. Although, I guess that Audacity will record Spotify songs because as far as I saw it records any audio which comes through your sound card. Dunno sure, never tried this, because I'm listening to Spotify music online and I never thought to use a Spotify Music Downloader or Ripper to record Spotify music streaming.
That's what you think. If you can see or hear it .. you can record it.
Agreed, if you can hear it you can record it and this is also true for recording Spotify music streaming.
I use on my mac, for example, Audio Hijack pro to rip and save Spotify songs, it's a pretty useful app if you want to record Spotify music streaming. So if you're on a mac I say try this one, it's a good Spotify music ripper.
If you're on a pc, unfortunately I am not familiar with how to record Spotify songs or with a Spotify Music Ripper for pc. I suggest you do a google search on "how to rip or record Spotify music". I guess that should help u find some working Spotify Music Downloader for ripping Spotify tracks.
It's perfectly possible to record music from Spotify. Simply set your Windows sound recorder to record from your speakers, then play your Spotify tunes. Voila.

I've got loads of free albums and tracks this way and can't understand how such a service exists.
That's an interesting idea, to record Spotify music streaming with the windows built in sound recorder. That might be quite a logical solution to rip Spotify tracks since that sound recorder works by the same principle: if you can hear it, it can record it.
Though if I were you I'd never use that to record Spotify songs, I think the quality of the recordings you get after recording Spotify music streaming with it will definitely not be too great, not to mention that it probably records every sound that is played on your pc, including windows sounds, messenger sounds and so on and you don't really have any options to edit the recorded Spotify songs.
I say you should keep searching for a Spotify Music Downloader.
Not too familiar with this Spotify music streaming service you guys are talking about, but you should look at simpler solutions to rip Spotify tracks.
I haven't used Spotify music streaming too often because I prefer to listen to my favorite music from elsewhere, so I don't know any working Spotify Music Downloader you could use to record Spotify songs to pc.
If you ask me, I guess you could see if there are some firefox add-ons that can rip Spotify tracks, they seem to have a lot of useful add-ons.
Maybe you'll find there a Spotify Music Downloader you can use to rip Spotify tracks
I am pretty sure there aren't any mozilla add-ons that can rip Spotify music, at least I've never stumbled upon any Spotify Music Downloader add-on.
Have you tried orbit downloader? Maybe this one is able to record Spotify music, I know I've used it some time ago to download Pandora music so there's a chance it might also be used as a Spotify Music Downloader. It also works to record music from some other websites like myspace and yahoo.
Try it and see if this one can record Spotify music streaming to your hard disk.
You don't need any extra software. The in built windows sound recorder will do all this for you. I can't imagine Spoitfy being around for much longer.
I use this tool a lot, the YouTube Downloader feature especially, so now I have many youtube videos on my phone.
Anyway, if you want to see how does Tunebite rip Spotify songs, check this link and you'll have a tutorial back there:

Thanks a lot for the help guys, I noticed too after looking on the web for a solution to my problem with how to record Spotify music that it is pretty hard to find a reliable Spotify Music Ripper that actually can record Spotify songs without any problems. Some of the Spotify Music Downloaders I tried were indeed able to record and save Spotify songs to pc but the quality of the recordings I ended up with was not too great, so those were not worth keeping if you ask me.
@ ruther Thanks a lot for suggesting that Tunebite Spotify Music Ripper, I will definitely try that one as well to see how good of a job it does with ripping Spotify tracks. I hope this is the last Spotify Music Downloader I try because to be honest I was thinking about giving up on finding a reliable easy way to save Spotify tracks.
Will let you know though how it went with Tunebite.

Hi, to record Spotify music onto hard disk is easy, you only need to use a Spotify audio recorder or a streaming audio recorder. That is, while you are playing Spotify audio online, you can record it simply.
