What Are Some Good Carbs That You Can Eat In A Healthy Diets?

In my family, we eat carbs everyday. Even though vegetables and other good sources are part of our meal, carbs take the big part and seems unavoidable. I am so used to eating carbs everyday and since I have no other options as long as I’m with my family, I imagine living by carbs. I don’t know if I make much sense, but what are some good carbs that I can eat to become more healthy?

Carbs are an essential part of a healthy diet but some should be avoided - sugar that is added to food and drinks count as carbs
and should be eaten as an occasional treat.

Starchy foods such as bread, pasta, potato and rice are also carbs and essential for energy. These can be eaten healthily (boiled potatoes instead of chips, healthy sauces on pasta and rice, healthy spreads and toppings for bread). Wholewheat is better than white bread, rice or pasta.

Carbs are also in some veg and that is a healthy source of carbs and fibre.

A good carb day would be porridge, shredded wheat or bran flakes with semi skilled milk for breakfast; an egg sandwich or with no spread or egg salad for lunch; chicken, potatoes and veg for dinner. Fresh fruit. Limited snacks and no sugary drinks.

Actually...your body will do fine without carbs. It can and will make energy from both fat and protein. Healthiest carbs come from vegetables, in particular above ground, leafy green veg.
All veg and fruit are carbs...unlike some as barry says.

Carbohydrates are the most efficient energy source and I’d personally deplore a diet that sought to avoid them
Humans evolved on a varied diet. Try not to worry about one particular food type, just have a balance of all and all should be fine. Unless your diet is deficient in something, there is no magic food that will make you more healthy.
