Is this usual/unusual after a major operation? I did have five cuts in and around the area and it's seven weeks today since the op. Anyone else had this problem and did it right itself in time?
Thanks.

Nothing bad about asking for reassurance LB, hope it soon settles. In a strange way numbness can be as bothersome as pain, simply because it feels wrong.

yes I was very lucky as it could have been my eye and that would have been far worse.
after having a leg amputated, Douglas Bader was having so much diiscomfort from his other leg he told the doctors he wished they'd cut it off too; they told him they had. People do get phantom aches and pains from limbs even when they're not there.
