... as seems likely, will he be given the order of the boot - and if so, who will replace him?

I think it will be John Macdonald as caretaker leader followed by Rebecca long Bailey

I love their music, Jordy.
I think it should be Dilyn - a lot more use than Corbyn
their best choice would be a moderate but they'll not get past the black shirts so I suspect MDM will get it but I'd love to see the Abacus get it, that'd be a laugh!

I’d love to see Jess in the top job. She has said she would consider going for it.
Keir Starlet would be the most likely to achieve something, but I can't see the membership and momentum doing anything as sensible as that.

I doubt if Keir Starlet is left wing enough for them. Is he left wing at all? I've never heard him talk about anything other than Brexit.
Autocorrect again. Starmer
Please please let it be abacus.... I really need a good laugh
Brilliant music at 16:28. If he goes (please God), hope he takes Abbot with him ...
An interesting question.

My view has always been that JC was somewhat baffled at being thrust into the front line as he was, having shown neither a shred of aptitude for frontline politics, or equally, a shred of interest in ending up there, so I have always been convinced that a defeat will be a blessed relief for him, he can resign and return to being a backbench agitator, which is all he has ever been, and all he is suitable for.

If the unthinkable happens, and they win, he may have to stay on because he huffed about being 'ready and willing' to do so, when clearly he is actually neither.

Interesting times - let's reconvene here on Friday morning ...
Vote of thanks for the interim chair please.
// If Jeremy Loses Tomorrow .... //

it’s very possible that he won’t. this election is for the tories to win, labour don’t need to win anything. all the SNP and lib-dems need to do is take 12 seats from the tories and labour will by default form the next government. if they don’t and the tories don’t get their majority it’ll be a case of “Status Quo is not just a rock band” and the opposition will continue to dominate affairs in parliament. either way JC is the winner without winning a thing.
Starmer versus Long-Bailey......
