A Matter Of Consistency And Spaces

Talking of putting in spaces in compound user names, such as:
book binder,
tea cake 44,
naomi 24,
tora tora tora,
sparkly kid,
buen chico,
pasta freak,
lady birder,
fender 62,
mamya lynne,
mushroom 25,
mozz 71,
spice rack,
old geezer,
young maf bog,
tilly 2,
pixie 374,
bain brig...
and so on.
If THEY are alright, then how is anothe old git NOT alright?

Bainbrig - I am unsure what point you are trying to make here.
Clearly, in terms of names usage, and alteration, a little fluidity is required, there is no hard and fast rule involved.
My user name is andy-hughes becuse my original user name was andy hughes, but I had to re-start my account due to a technical glitch several years ago, so I simply put a hyphen in it.
As as been advised, AOG abbreviated his user name to fit the system at the time, and I would agree that taking out the spaces could be construed as disrespect for one of our senior contributors, so why do it simply to make a dodgy point?
Maybe this is best left alone, it isn't going to go anywhere as far as I can see.

I am absolutely not trying to rekindle an old spat here, merely illustrating my point -
There is nothing inherently wrong in referring to me as 'Hughes' - it is my name, but I have pointed out that I find it disrespectful, and another AB'er has used it for exactly that purpose - hence my point about intention - which was to offer disrespect, and receipt, because it was received as intended.

Thank you for your defence - if memory serves, and it is pretty shaky at the best of times, and it certainly doesn't stretch back four years (!) I believe I apologised on a separate thread which is why it's not apparent thus far.
Since Zacs is the only one who cares even remotely about this, maybe he will be as diligent with his research as he is with his false insults, and will find it, but honestly, who cares? I suspect you don't, no-one else does, and I certainly don't!!
