I use Fairy non bio because my skin is very sensitive. Any biological detergent causes me such grief.
Persil is awful, as it Ariel.
I'd try the Persil again.
I am very allergic to washing powder plus conditioner. I always use Fairy non bio and fairy conditioner and so far itch free. Why not just go back to your Persil capsule?
Go back to Persil if that was ok. Why bother trying something else?
Here's a list, kate. The Tesco powder might be worth a try?

I am going to give the fairy non bio a shot, and see how that goes, thank you so much for your quick response.i only used the lidl stuff cos it was a freebie
Use a non-bio. I use Fairy gel.
I use Fairy non-bio after I too came out in a rash after using bio product (this was many years ago incidentally).
Just a thought .. are you sure you are barking up the right tree .. How long have we had these extreme temperatures .. 6-8 weks. It may be heat related.
I only suggest this as I have had a similar thing and we blamed detergent at the time, but we were wrong.

alvahalf, good thinking,i will still change powder though, see what happens
It is just another way of looking at the problem. I was itching for Britain up until a couple of months ago.
In my case we changed soap, detergent, shampoo, bedding and towels. Nothing worked.
.
Then I started thinking what about food and kept a food diary.
It was literaly eating one Malteaser that sent me on the right path. I had a bad reaction to it and it was the only thing I ate one evening. I immeadiately removed dairy form my diet ... the problem solved within hours.
No more itching.
The follow on is we now spend a great deal of time reading labels in the supermarket.
lidl non bio..the blue box..best powder I ever have used..I have all kinds of allergies and this is fine..has won many awards...
