I am pretty sure that the letters are correct. I have an answer for both but only sort of parsed one of them.

27d could be fair as in a fair price
26d there is a word reest to become rancid, just need to parse it.

Reest = rancid = turn - but I could not parse the most indecent - presumably a letter goes in front of reest to mean most indecent, but ......
