I feel desperately sorry for the victims but can't help feeling SOME of them are milking this awful situation to get themselves a bigger, better place. I know it was a different situation but when they were offered accommodation at Grenfell it was probably a take it or leave it scenario. I'm not saying they should now take anything they are offered but they need...

* Oo-er! What an odd thing to say.
I see, so NJ's point about rehousing after your house is gone is aimed at all social housing tenants.

Understood.

I am in no way sticking up for any resident who is being unnecessarily difficult with the Council.
£18m+ divided & paid out to survivors buy them an alternative life & off SS.

Give 'em the money Mabel ;)

## So, trt, is life that bad that you wish you had been living in Grenfell Tower so that you could now benefit from all this charity ... assuming you hadn't been killed by the fire, of course? ##

You have missed the point of my Q entirely elli, or you are wearing tinted glasses?

The fire was a tragedy, but so was the Manchester bombings, the Westminster bridge attacks, 7/7, and the rest.
But it seems that different organisers are still asking for our money, and I am sceptical where its all going to go, or to the people who were not actually caught up in the fire, who are saying they were.

Yes, I must have. I thought the point was to whine about how much charity the Grenfell victims and their survivors are receiving:

Hard to read that any other way than a whine. The thing about charity is that you're not obliged to give to it. If people want to give to Grenfell charities, that's their prerogative and nothing to do with you. It's rather uncharitable to whine about it.
