The International Monetary Fund had admitted that it's "officials" got it wrong because their pro EU bias affected their analyses. This is just weeks after they issued dire warnings about the dangers of Brexit.
Meanwhile the French economy grinds to a halt, The Office for National Statistics admits that the EU accounts for just 12% of the British economy, Britain has sold more goods outside the EU than it did within it for the last 4 years, and on and on on. The doom mongers blink as the lights come on. Just for good measure it transpires that 53% of Scots want to remain in the UK, after the Brexit vote, despite all the noise coming out of Scotland suggesting otherwise. You must decide if that is good news.

Apologies Danny I left my specs outside.
Ah, the Daily Mail. Nuff said.
ZM There are other sources on Google with the same news.I just picked the first one I saw.
Oh well, if Nige said it, it's incontestable. I did not know he worked for the ONS but then he must be at a bit of a loose end these days.

Exactly. 2015. Not the 'meanwhile' mentioned in the OP.
ZM, Have you any evidence that things have improved?

France was labelled the 'problem child' of the eurozone yesterday after its struggling economy ground to a halt.
Official figures showed the country managed no growth at all in the second quarter of the year as floods, strikes and worries about terrorism knocked confidence.
That compares with stronger-than-expected growth of 0.6 per cent in UK between the start of April and end of June.

Do read the links you ask for like a cuckoo in the nest. Meanwhile..........
Togo wrote as if to bolster his claim of EU bias / He used the word meanwhile to give the impression that a calamatous synchronisation of events was occurring and the word 'admits' (not 'admitted some time ago'). I don't know why people have to put their own spin on stories in an effort to say 'I told you so'.

The op was to highlight the falsehoods of the lMF, who have now had to retract them. Of course zm has spent his time on the thread attempting to do his usual hatchet job. He must be terribly frustrated.

Nice one "orders" do you think that the IMF have had their collars felt?
Don't have any links for 'proof', but I can't remember how long ago it was that I posted that France was a basket-case economically. This was while I was living there and picking up bits here and there.
