When you think of a Spanish holiday getaway you think of relaxing on one of the many beautiful beaches Spain has to offer, but if you’re looking to get more out of your holiday why not explore what else is available?

If you’re looking to get the most out or your holiday why not try out one or more of the following attractions:

Try out traditional Flamenco dancing, which has been around for centuries commonly related to southern Spanish areas and has been described as being an art form in itself. So whether you’re looking to be a spectator or join in yourself the choice is yours.

Watch Bullfighting, learn about the history, and judge for yourself why it is such a popular sport. The bullfights begin in the afternoon when the temperature is at its peak so be aware when booking seats, and which is why there are different prices for seats in or out of then sun.

Explore the many Spanish festivals available, learn about culture and even learn to speak the language. Spring, summer, autumn or winter, you are sure to discover at least one of the many festivals, which provide visitors a wonderful display whether it is a traditional Carnival or a modern music festival.

Take a hike through the well known Pyrenees Mountains, ranging along the border between Spain and France, and stretching approximately 600 km, you choose the distance and route you wish to explore.

Go scuba diving along the Mediterranean or Atlantic coasts, with a coastline of 5000km there are plenty of scuba diving opportunities to choose from including the shores of Malaga, Torremolines, Benalmadena, Fuengirola and Calahonda.

Take advantage of the many Ski Resorts available, whether it is one the renowned Pyrenees resorts or the equally vast Alpine resorts. Being the second most mountainous country in Europe, following Switzerland, the opportunities are endless whether you’re staying in the north or south of the country.

Barcelona, is well known for hosting the summer Olympic Games, and features other attractions like the Picasso Museum, Gran Teatre del Liceu, and the Guell Park, as well as other of Gaudi’s architectural feasts such as the still not completed Sagrade Familia.

Valencia, most famous for traditional street celebrations and parades, promotes free transportation around the city and discounts in museums, restaurants, shops and tours, and is a popular destination for visitors who are looking to pay less and enjoy more. The Valencians are also very proud of their local style of tapas-be sure to try it and find out what the fuss is all about.

Seville, Granada and Cordoba, are Andalusian cities also with exciting places to visit, where you can find the Arabic influence on Spain and the famous Granada's Alhambra fortress, which boasts breathtaking views.
