If I upgrade to WX and don't like it, I believe I can go back to W7? Could I then at a later date, before the end of July re-install WX?

Yes
Why would you want to....if you don't like it first time round?
Take care over your update - back up EVERYTHING before you start and do a custom install - examine every page - be prepared to update a few drivers particularly your printer afterwards and you wont need to revert back
At present I am keeping W10 at bay and hope to do so until free time runs out and I am Not any longer pressured to 'up-date'.

No way do I want to install the 'Updated Windows' which Microsoft appears determined to thrust upon all of us.

Downloading W 10 could prove to be a very expensive exercise. Hence, it is important to note the advice of CrapAtCryptics and hope that all periphery equipment is able to function afterwards.

If it aint broke, why fix it.??

Hans.
