It's not for me, I'm happy with Bic disposables. It'll be a birthday present.

I have just replaced my 18 year old Philishave with another one, the PT920. It has it's pluses and minuses, on the plus side it give me the best shave I've ever had and it can be rinsed under the tap after each use, on the minus side the stand for holding it is rather flimsy and there is no counter to tell you how many more shaves you can get before battery runs dry. The only electric shavers that I have ever used are Philips...and my father, too. I wouldn't even consider any other make (and many are Which? Best Buys).

Everybody seems to like the brand they know, which probably means they're all pretty good at their job. It looks like I'll need to pick one at random so It's Blue Toffee's PT920 that the nephew will get.
Thank you sandyRoe, hope he's as pleased with it as I am, and thank you for BA too.
