Fibre Data Extension Kit

I am thinking of getting fibre broadband installed in place of the current copper wire set up.

My house is an old Victorian one with thick internal walls and has given me problems as regards wireless working so I am thinking I need an extension kit to allow the new socket to be fitted in the study/computer room.

Problem is, in my eyes, it will need more than 30 metres of cable to link up the two. All the ISPs I have looked at seem to say an extension is available but none say what happens if its more than 30 metres.

Any advice welcome from the peeps in the know.

Not sure if this helps or not. I extended my cable connection from downstairs front room to upstairs rear bedroom (spare one now re-labelled computer room!). Not wanting any cabling showing inside I re-routed along external wall up into roof cavity and then down into room. I think the length of cable was about 22 to 25 mtrs. It works fine for me and I've checked from both ends and data loss is almost nil.

Another idea is using your house electrical circuit to carry the connection around the house. Some reading here

Thought about a wireless extension kit? I purchased a Netgear NT2000 extender and its giving me excellent results , worth a google.
