duplication of images / Windows 7
Can anyone tell me why, when I place an image on my desktop, or a selection of images in a folder in "My Pictures" my pc is creating a folder with reduced size images in it.
i.e if the image is called "900ss" it creates a folder called 900ss.jpg.files with reduced size images in it titled "vcm_s_kf_repr_500x375" or similar ...

Either disable thumbnail previews
ht
(so that the thumbnails are no longer created at all)
or allow your computer to keep creating thumbnails but no longer show (what are meant to be hidden) folders containing them:
