Today, the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale, has been declared International Nurses Day, and tributes are in order for the angels on the front line of the battle against the pandemic.
God bless them all.
Sadly, it is quite obvious that they have not had the support they deserve in their heroic work.
I hope the government recognise their value with more than mere words but give them a fighting chance to give us a fighting chance of getting through this, and also reward them materially now.
Do you agree?
So you don't agree then.

What do you think Nurses would make of your sick bucket remark?
Oh maybe it was an attempt to be funny?
Fail !
Why do you think I posted what you call dross?
I have two nurses and two carers in my family, I was made aware of IND from a radio 4 broadcast, and I am aware of the crisis in our health service.
So, why?
I agree with you emmie. The medical services are the front line in this fight. They are all laying their lives on the line for the good of all of us.
They would say they are just doing their job!
No, I don't agree. Apart from anything else, right now we are dealing with an unprecedented situation, not to mention paying to support millions who can't work. Where do you suggest all the money you want spent is going to come from, Theland?
