Can you explain why ff. Cheques take 3 days to clear whereas credit csrds take one month.

Sry, I know CC are instant. We paid l'oreal a cheque over a month ago & have now paid £1.50 extra to a debt collector, saying l'orealdont accept cheques.

They can refuse credit cards too. Or refuse coins above a certain value. It's their business so their choice

Their Tc & Cs should have said what methods they accepted
