Seriously, it isn't that he's silent but rather many don't care to listen. I discussed his direct intervention in our affairs here.

@baza - can you point me in the direction of the atheist churches or mosques? can you show me the atheist missions sent to convert the heathens to rationality?
All I do is to argue against those that make evangelical posts, and to post those examples of religious idiocy that can be found in the media.
If those of faith ceased to post their evangelical assertions, you would rarely if ever see a post from me....

baza, I’d say the clue is in the word ‘evangelise’. I can’t speak for LazyGun, but personally I’m very happy to discuss religion with anyone, and I am genuinely interested in reading their views, but quotations from the bible prove nothing - and they mean nothing whatsoever to the people they’re aimed at here.
God is a fantasy. It's a desperate attempt for humans to make some sense of their short lives. They're frightened of death and so conjure up a fantastical supernatural entity that makes death a transition to another state of being and not just oblivion. In their desperation, they take leave of the senses and convince themselves that they can survive their own death. They invent fantastical things to support their delusions. Things such as angels, devils, jinns, humans who can walk on water, and the like. They convince themselves that they will be taken to a place of everlasting paradise where pain, suffering and death are banished – whilst simultaneously believing in (and revelling in) a place where pain, suffering and eternal torture are metered out to people who don't believe in precisely the same thing they do.
Not a single shred of proof suggests that heaven and hell or some limbo-like life after death scenario is even vaguely possible or likely.
Belief in god is as rational as believing in the tooth-fairy or unicorns.
