I'm not surprised as they have been struggling for a while. I'm relieved to see a refund of £50 for a returned item landed in my bank account last Thursday. Phew, that was close, could have lost it.
I wonder if the government will help them out and the many other stores who will very soon be struggling. I hope they leave enough money to continue to pay our State Pensions eek!!!

I am sad about Laura Ashley. I have shopped there for the last forty years. :-( Bye bye, Laura.

It was always going to be on the cards. With stores like B&M and The Range, and the fact we live more of a disposable lifestyle, means places like Laura Ashley are just too expensive.

Miracle it's lasted this long.
It has gone bust.....
I`m surprised Debenhams is still going. As far as state pensions are concerned, think yourself lucky you don't have a work pension that is going down the pan.
Fear not for your pension, the magic money tree of yore is stout and thrusting ever skyward.

Don't please 237. That's all my son is talking about. I keep telling him it'll come up again and there is nothing he can do about it so stop looking. He ignores me.
Our Laura Ashley is located in a tiny precinct with Wilko, Peacocks, and a Barnardos. Upstairs is Sainsbury's. It's rarely busy.
Debenhams has never-ending sales, and all the staff on the makeup and perfume counters just stand around chatting. They're having a 50% off sale now.
It will come up again. It depends how much time he has before retirement. If he has years then I wouldn`t worry.

I'm quite sad they've gone as well. I furnished my first London flat with their stuff 35 years ago.
My feature wallpaper is from there and I love it, I want the same again as it’s been on two years ,hopefully I can get it
I'm sad too - for my daughter-in-law, who works there.
It had its hay day in the late 70s /80s . I bought their dresses as maternity stocks!
