this quiz gets more popular every year and rightly so, the real quizmaster here will receive more entries this year than last, that's the first point, secondly this is not something where we all have to start at the same time, we are not subject to a starters gun but we all have the same end date, and lastly if you do not want to know an answer, simply don't look, you can see that it is a dingbat on the main menu do not look up the answer, it's quite simple really, anyway good luck when the pony express does arrive, I thought they were more difficult this year, see what you think, best,
Which quiz is it please?

hi, mamyalynne, it is the Pendleside Hospice quiz, there are 48 dingbats to solve this year, all the answers have a Christmas theme to them, quiz sheets are available from: MIKE SMITH,273 MANCHESTER ROAD BURNLEY BB11 4HN, if you are interested please send £1.00 with s.a.e. to this address, I am sure you will enjoy trying to solve them. I managed 45 of them off my own bat, so to speak and then asked for help with the remaining three. if you get stuck and need another train of thought there are a lot of people on this site who might be able to help you, best,
Thank you hops, and smouse I'll send for it - yes this is a useful site but doubt I'll ask am stubborn like that. :-)
I have just purchased a copy from their online shop.

hi, mamyalynne, that is a commendable approach, although someone once said to me,"never be afraid to ask what you don't know" I think it was good advice because you learn from it, good luck with the quiz, you might not need any help anyway but that is what this site is for, help, best
Oh I take your point but as an avid quizzer I personally prefer to solve them under my own power (and that of my many books and the internet of course) - we all have our own ways.
I might add that if I do leave blanks or make errors then I learn when I get the answers/marked sheets back on how best to solve next time.

Each setter has their own quirks.
