First of all let me thank everybody for your Good Wishes on our 6oth W.A. I am now walking in the same circles as jno i.e. after a phone call to Buckingham Palace (made by daughter) we have received a Congratulatory Letter and Photo of the Queen and also one from the Governor -General of Australia and one from our Prime Minister on the occasion of Our Diamond...

eek! that's a beast neti!

haha, snap Lottie, I've got 4 new bras + matching pants in lovely colours & one's a wild animal print & I've only worn one of them twice I think. I like cotton & nude shades 'cos they don't show under me chiffon :o)

oh lordy neti, you can't boil undies the 'lastic will go all loose and things'll be swingin' out of control.
At least they'll be white!!!!

Am in the middle of squeezing 2 sacks of oranges. Mr N bought a juicer with bells and whistles on and it is so much bother, so I nipped out and bought a simple leccy one and am getting on find. I do have a normal hand turning one, but that would break my wrist. Have so much juice now, 8 litres in fridge and am now freezing bottle of it, cos I think one can! I love drinking it with lemon juice, I love lemon juice!
When I first got married, way back in the dim dark ages before washing machines were invented I boiled all Mr LL's white underpants. Each day as he put them on they fell off the elastic. Still it made him buy some new ones!!
You can buy packets of stuff you put in with the wash to make your things go white again. I use it on sheets and my white T shirts and bras.
She would end up solid bras and knickers then jno!!
Have made a note of that lottie will see if I can get it here, if not then I'll get oodles of it in england! Thanks.

I now have a kitchen like robi's only mine is all orange bits and drips. Shattered but at least it's all done. Will go and wash off in pool!!!!
hey Biddies I have you dog lovers a funny email, also jude and jno cos you'll love it. didn't send it to swedie cos she hasn't got a dog and her machine is up the spout.
*sent* d'oh!
very nice, but I am not going to get a dog. Or a cat. I'm just going to stick with demon garden bugs and foxes, though nobody does emails about them.
17 pair of knickers and 12 bras just hung out, next lot in!
just swam in pool fully clothed, but bear in mind I only wear (at home) panties and a tiered skirt hitched under the armpits and down to the shins, nice and cool!
Well I bet that's a sight for sore eyes Neti :)
Been back from investigations since about half one .We had to be there at nine .My brother ferried us there and back .Mr S a bit woozy but has managed to eat something .
Well they've snipped bits off further up the bowel .He'll be assessed clinically by Monday and within four weeks an operation where they will either remove part of the colon or depending he may have to have a stoma which could be reversed at a later date .
The nurses were lovely to him and very kind to me .
I've just read all your posts and thank you all for thinking of us .You are the the nicest of folks .
Hope everyone is OK .
Back later ...love you all xxxx
At least you have a couple of nice bumps which keep the skirt up Neti. It would just fall down off me.

Hi Shaney. Thanks for posting with your news. Glad it wasn't traumatic for you both and that Mr S is eating again. At least you know things are going ahead now and he will be sorted asap. Much love xxx
Back off to the surgery. I am still not happy about my leg wound. I am sure something is stick stuck in there!
'stick stuck' ??!!

Hello nurse, something is stick stuck in my leg.

Well it is a stick that is stuck in your leg my dear!!

I meant 'still stuck', of course.
that sounds like quite reasonable news Shaney. Glad to hear that Mr S has eaten. Through my work have known quite a few people who have had stomas , both temporary and permanent. By and large they lived normal busy lives. Some of them have been in their thirties.
I know someone who had a stoma and then a rectification and then went on to get married and have two children. She has been fit and well ever since.

I think Shaney's news is very encouraging indeed.
Well done mr s and shaney! Sorry to be ignorant, but what is a stoma, is it a colostomy?

Was just gonn post that my kne which hasn't hurt all day is now stinging like mad, but after what poor mr s has just gone through, i feel humbled and petty!

Just making pot salad and russian salad then will sit down with a cuppa although I expect next lot of whites will be ready. Oh BTW my lovely cheap bra from Peacocks has gone grey!!!
