Is anyone else still doing this?

I had the last mince pie a couple of days ago, but still have to wade through more chocolate.

Oh, and who still has the Christmas pudding in the cupboard?

Not only this years Christmas pudding but last years and the year before that are still in the cupboard. We always buy one but it never gets eaten. Do not mention pickled onions,we have unopened jars from the 1990s !

Nope, mine is all gone! Went the first week of January. Only thing I have left is a bottle of Baileys (xmas pressy), which I am slowly drinking.
I still have a serrano ham on the carving rack and half a large round of tete de moine cheese on the curler
I stall have an unopened net of mixed nuts. (We couldn't find the nutcracker)
We finished the last slab of pudding the other evening, why does it taste better after Christmas? The cake is still in the tin, it'll be fine for months, I found a few slice of stolen in another tin and I have mine pies in the freezer but my best find was an unopened box of Hotel Chocolat chocs.
Still got a box of biscuits for cheese. Never buy Christmas pud as none of us like it or could think about eating it after a large lunch.
Forgot to mention the slabs of frozen bubble and squeak in the freezer.Might attack one tonight with the serrano ham! Food for thought! :-)

Most of the civilised British people have been doing it for decades. It is a British tradition that has yet to disappear. :-)
Thats a deal Margo.Always got the pickled onion, red cabbage, beetroot, gherkins,Branston,Picalilli to hand in the store cupboard. Might have a couple of crackers and party poppers left also. :-)

The war is over, you know.
Yes but food waste is still a no no.
I wish I had enough chocolate to "wade through"...
Thats a shame. The British children were never more healthy than when on austerity war time rations.Corned beef hash,Wooton pie. No junk food then and certainly NO criminal waste of food like chucking out good veg to make bubble for next day.
I don't buy any extra at Christmas to finish off.
Still got six mini mince pies in freezer, must dig them out but don't feel like eating.
Does finding a Chocolate Truffle in the footwell of my car count?.....Delicious it was.....just delicious......☺
Yes it counts, grrr would love some chocolate, oh hang on, there's boxes under the stairs!
