Today, for me it's true......I'm getting ready to go to a funeral and I've had a text from my brother...

By the way, G....I did mention, didn't I, that L has said no black to be worn at her funeral......

This....at the last minute....to the woman who only wears black......I am off now to see what I can do with a peach duvet cover and two purple pillow cases....flippin' men!

Ive heard a few people request "No black" which is completely up to them/the family and one tries to respect their wishes. But its tricky to dress appropriately in "non black" for a funeral, how do you gage it??

Everything I wear is black!.....I have white sleeveless tops packed away for my theatre stint.....and a floaty purple thing that thinks it's a dressing gown...the rest is black....I like and suit black.....☻

Go with Retrochic's advice, wear black and accessorise with a colourful scarf or something, which you can pick up cheap

The funeral's about 90 minutes drive...could knit something on the way I guess....

So far I have a man's Hawaiian shirt.... extra large....can be knotted at the waist.....a turquoise pashmina that I'd forgotten about.....a Minnie Mouse brolly with ears.....it's chucking it down.....and scarlet killer heels....

My Husband requested 'no black' for his funeral and most of his relatives and pals did just that ( I wouldn't have minded if they hadn't) _I wore cream scattered with colourful butterflies.

Hi, GM......gave you Best Answer.....because I was so tempted...but I got there....huge place....found the right funeral....and was met by my brother... wearing a black suit! I swear little brothers were put on earth to annoy.... anyway I slapped the back of his head.....

The nephews sat either side of me......keep Aunt G in check is the usual instruction at family dos...... :-(

Methyl.....not sure who you want me to knit armbands for...was having enough trouble finding my own outfit.....but the shirt and killer heels went down a storm.....☺
