Inquisitor 1192

I asked about a few clues yesterday. I have solved the puzzle, uncovered the theme and I am deciding what colour to shade in the appropriate squares. I still have a nagging query about 1dn. I am 99% certain the answer is "Cool", but I cannot parse it. I have the $100 as a " C" note but I am stuck. Can anyone help?

Cool is another word for impudent
Loo is 'to subject to a forfeit at loo/erloo'(lanterloo being an old card game)
C is 100/C note

Hi, If you look in Chambers under loo(2) all will become clear!
Could you give me a hint on the theme as I'm completely stuck

Should have said...the theme's discussed on another thread. You'll find it under 'crosswords', not just 'Quizzes and Puzzles'.
