All the on-demand and live channels are on available apps on Amazon Firestick. You can expand on that if you want.

do you have to buy passes for thatsecond one ??
Question Author
will that second one give me the normal range of freeview channels without the need to purchase anything other than the box itself ?
There's simply no way to get the full range of Freeview channels (or even a good selection of them) over the internet. All of the various sticks and boxes are designed to supplement Freeview reception, not to actually provide it. Sorry!
Do you have a laptop? You could use this website http://www.tvcatchup.com/ and plug your laptop into the TV
The Amazon Fire stick. - £35.

You can add a range of apps like iPlayer, fimOn. You can sideload Kodi onto it if you have a computer. This lets you get fims, TV series, Sky and BT.

Filmon isn't a direct download, but there is an easy way to install it. Or ask an IT savvy person to help you.

Does anyone know if firestick works outside of the UK?
From Amazon
ou can take your Amazon Fire TV device with you if you are moving or travelling to certain countries outside of the UK. Your Amazon Fire TV device will work in the following countries:

United States
United Kingdom (UK)
Germany
Austria (Fire TV Stick only)
Japan

In order to use your device outside of the UK, you need to change the Country Settings for your Amazon
Just to note that you can't always access live tv through iplayer / itv / c4 on the firestick, some programmes are not available live but will be on catch up
chelle; //In order to use your device outside of the UK, you need to change the Country Settings for your Amazon //

Do you mean buy one on (in my case) German Amazon?
Khandro - sorry missed off account

By chance I have just found out that Now has a new box - the Now TV Smart Box. £40, it has 60 live Freeview channels and 15 HD channels, plus the apps that the other Now boxes have.
It will also pause and rewind live tv.

Please ignore my last post - it needs an aerial.
