Poor Service From Bt

I've been without email since Monday morning and twice have been promised phone calls (after a wait of first two days, then one day) to sort out the problem but none have been received.
Is this common and how do I get someone to take notice?

might seem silly but have you tried logging in with your old password ?

I was without wifi for a month when I switched to bt. Having said that, once they got their act together, I can't fault them.

Keep ringing them.

Lucky you; I've been without BT email since last Sunday week!

It started when I changed my P/W and all email was cut off. After phoning I was promised help in the form of a phone call on Tuesday which never came. A further 2 day wait and then the call booked for between 6 - 8pm was made by them at 1 pm. Another 2 days delay to speak to someone who accused me of not being in when they made their 1pm call. I was not supposed to be called at that time.

More delays at 2 day intervals culminating last night in one when I was told the temp P/W they had for me had expired and there will be another delay until this (Thursday) evening.
Clearly BT is not only inadequately staffed but their system is wanting.

Not so long ago in a phone call from BT, the lady was astonished when again and again I refused an offer of free football. Clearly BT need to cut down funds on games and concentrate on real issues.

My change from Virgin to BT was instant and the service has been faultless - until I needed help. A pal recently told me he was on the phone for 17 hours and I can now understand why.

One reason I changed from BT to Virgin was the atrocious customer service at BT.
Had the unfortunate task of sorting out a problem with BT this morning - long, long delay getting to speak to someone but when I did it was sorted pretty rapidly. BT does not have a good customer service reputation imo as many of my friends have switch due to this. Keep at it Coppit, that's the only way I'm afraid and good luck.
BTW today is a worse day than usual as there has been a major problem with BT network involving the internet sp loads of people up in arms.
The BT network (and other ISP) relates to power issues at Telehouse in the the docklands. This is the main interconnection point for all ISP's

I had lost BT internet connection this morning so switched off BT Hub waited 30 secs then re booted. Now working OK.
