Me...jeans and a tee-shirt. Still do. No slobby joggers for me. Wouldn't be seen dead in them!

White silk trousers with hems, or course, in conjunction with a black silk smoking jacket emblazoned with an Oriental motif, and one's neck was always ensconced within a purple cravat.

Is "hems" the right term? I mean the things at the bottom of the legs that collected dust, sixpences, cigarette ash, and ticket stubs.

Pudding through from the kitchen to the sitting room in a ratty old tee shirt and slobby joggers, with a big glass of wine, and a tub of ice cream ...

It somehow doesn't work if you're wearing anything made from silk.

I followed the Stuey route – monogrammed Pierre Cardin pyjams, a paisley dressing gown (silk, naturally!) and a pair of soft leather monogramed ballet slippers.

Now I just have a string vest and some y-fronts with the elastic gone!

Teenagers now pay high prices for tee shirts with rips and tears, which hang off the shoulder, and look a bit faded.

I find, if you keep tee shirts for long enough, they sort of end up like that anyway.
